Selecting a photographer for your special day is one of the most important decisions you'll make. The images the photographer captures will be a lasting memory of your wedding. At Lake Receptions, we want to help you make the best choicse possible, so we have compiled a list of questions to ask a prospective photographer.

1. How many years in the wedding industry?

2. Do they have least 4 references you can contact?

3. Can they give you the names of a few reception halls where they usually work ?
(The director of a hall should be able to let you know how this person is to work with).

4. Can you see examples of their work?

5. Is the photographer you interview the one who will be taking your photos?

6. Do they have extra help?

7. Is there a backup plan in case of illness or an emergency?

8. How many photos will be taken?

9. Can you get a list of the posed photos they will be taking?

10. Ask how long they will stay at the reception? Is it possible to stay longer if you want them to?

11. How much to they charge, are there any package prices and what will they need for a deposit?

12. Does the price includes candid shots?

13. How long after the wedding will you get to see your proofs?

14. How long after you choose your photos will you get your album?

15. Will they charge extra for any touch ups that might have to be done?

Negotiate not to pay in full until you pick up all your photos!!!
